Girl2Girl Talk is Here!
GIRL2GIRL TALK IS FINALLY HERE!!! It's the new instant messaging feature on New Moon that allows you girls to chat with each other in real time!
But before Girl2Girl Talk will work for you, you need to do a few things:
A. Enable Pop Ups in Your Browser for www.newmoon.com
This is VERY important. Girl2Girl Talk will not work if you are blocking pop-ups. To enable pop-ups in Internet Explorer:
1. Look at the top of your browser window and click on Tools.
2. Roll your pointer over Pop-up Blocker.
3. If the Pop-up Blocker is turned on, you will see an option called Pop-up Blocker Settings. Click Here.
4. Type www.newmoon.com and click Allow.
5. Click Close at the botton of the window.
To enable pop-ups for Firefox:
1. Look at the top of your browser window and click on Tools.
2. Then click Options.
3. Click Content
4. If Block Pop-Ups is checked, click the Exceptions button to the right.
5. Type www.newmoon.com and click Allow.
Please note: Every browser is a little different. You can ask your parents if you need help.
B. Request Permission From Your Parents
No girl can use Girl2Girl Talk without her parent's permission. But requesting permission is easy! Just look for the green Girl2Girl Talk box on the right of this page. Click Launch Girl2Girl Talk, then click the Request Permission button. An email will automatically go to your parents with everything they need to know to start your Girl2Girl Talk account. And DON'T FORGET: Sometimes emails from New Moon go into people's spam folders. Make sure you tell your parents an email from us is waiting for them!
C. Make Your Friends List!
Once your parents give you access to Girl2Girl Talk, you will need to make friends with other girls so you can start chatting with them. This is easy too! If there is a girl you want to add to your chat list, click her name or avatar anywhere on New Moon to visit her room. If she is not already on your friends list, her room will have a big blue button that says Add as a Friend. Click that button to send a friend request! If she's a Girl2Girl Talk user, your friend request will go to her. If she's not a Girl2Girl Talk user yet, you'll be able to send her a sticker asking her to join.
