11 Birthdays

I just finished reading a book called 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass.
Amanda Ellerby a 10 year old girl wakes up feeling just fine. She frowns remembering the fight with her best friend Leo last year. Both Leo and her were born on the same day and this year is the first year they are not having a party together. On their first birthday they learned to walk. On their fifth they planted apple trees in large pots, but this year just doesn't feel the same.
After school Amanda just wanted to go to sleep. She had her Hollywood themed party in a few hours. She quickly put on her Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz costume and her uncomfortable, tight red, shiny shoes. Amanda was not very happy about her party. Only a couple people came. The rest were at Leo's. Amanda was as angry as ever!
Going to sleep that night was like a dream come true! She tucked herself under the covers and went right to sleep. Saturday is in just a couple of hours. She said to herself.
"Beeeeeep!" Amanda's alarm clock went off. She closed it with shock and went straight downstairs. "Happy Birthday Amanda!" her mother said. "Is this some kind of trick?" Amanda asked." My birthday was yesterday!"
Figure out what happened next in 11 Birthdays! I loved the book and think that you will too! It is a book of friendship, faith, and hope. I learned from this book to be yourself and no one else. 11 Birthdays was a great book!
